12th Carbon Symposium, 23-26 June 2026, Gliwice (Poland)
Key Dates
Welcome to Carbon Symposium 2026!
12th Carbon Symposium is organized by the Polish Carbon Society. Previous editions were known as the Toruń Carbon Symposia. The 2026 edition will be the first one held outside Toruń, and it will take place in Gliwice, Poland. CS 2026 is designed to be an interdisciplinary forum for researchers interested in the field of carbon science and technology, providing a venue for them to share their research findings. Our goal is to inspire new generations of scientists — from academia, technological centers, and industry, and to promote new collaborative directions. We aim to facilitate discussions around the challenges, opportunities, and threats of carbon science and technology.
Scope of the 12th Carbon Symposjum:
- Graphite, carbonization/graphitization processes, sp3 C-rich carbons, graphene, nanotubes, fullerenes, carbon blacks, soot, nanodiamonds, nanodots, heterocarbons, heteromaterials…
- Innovations in synthesis, processing, characterization, and modelling (3D printing, in situ monitoring, coupled techniques, machine learning, etc.)
- Carbon in electrochemical processes and technologies (batteries and capacitors, fuel cells, functionalization, electrochemical sensors, etc.)
- Carbon & catalysis (Photocatalysis, CO2 conversion, electrocatalysis, etc.)
- Carbon & electronics (transistors, field-emission, etc.)
- Carbon & medicine and environmental protection
- Carbon-based composites and nanocomposites
- Polymer materials: synthesis, characterization, and applications
We hope you will enjoy the Symposium and will have time to listen to insightful presentations, interact with other scientists, and visit in Silesia.
